A halfling bard painted by Odis.
Delve into the rewarding and creative hobby of painting miniatures. Newcomers and veterans are welcome. We will paint an iconic Reaper miniature, the elf ranger Arthrand Nightblade.
Join us from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 9 at Gear Fayetteville for an evening of personalized instruction from store friend and award-winning painter Odis Holcomb. You’ll walk away with your own fully painted miniature by the end of the class.
The class costs $20. That cost includes the miniature, all supplies, and Odis’s personalized instruction as we bring Athrand to life in full color.
Meet Odis
Odis Holcomb (aka: Ryngs), is a freelance fine artist, illustrator, costumer, hobbyist, and owner of Raccoon Arts Studio.
As a miniature painter and hobbyist, Odis has been painting miniatures and making dioramas for over 30 years. He has won many accolades in miniature painting competitions, starting as far back as the “Razorbattles” gaming convention in 1994, and more recently during ReaperCon.
He has also done miniature painting for both private collectors and Reaper Miniatures.
Currently, one of his pieces sits in the Reaper Miniatures miniature art gallery in Denton, Texas.
Odis studied fine art, costume design, and circus arts (yes, Circus Arts!). The bulk of his artistic material has been in private custom commission work.
He has also worked with several publishers on books covers, periodical illustration, album covers, RPG game art, and advertisements. Such as Sanguine Production for Iron Claw, Sofawolf Press, and the metal band “Vore”, just to name a few.
